Thanksgiving IV ~

26 March-1 April:  This week I was thankful to visit with eldest D.S. and his wife in Grand Junction, CO - half my children in one house is always a treat; for having another chance to catch up on a foster grandson who attends school at Daystar Academy near Moab, UT; for the gift of faith ". . . Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for [one who comes] to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6); for sound sleep; for quiet conversation with the D.S. while others are busy elsewhere; for the promise of Malachi 4:6 where we read: ". . . He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers. . . ."; for quiet time through the morning to complete my journaling - behind with the traveling and visiting; for the little Black-tailed Prairie Dog eldest D.D. brought home after a visit to the Celestial Seasonings Tea factory; for the definition of faith from Hebrews 11:1 which reads: ". . . Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen"; thankful for continued improvement re foot pain; to feel rested when short on sleep hours; for the promise from Exodus 22:27 where we read: ". . . I am a merciful God, and when they call out to me, I will come to help them" (CEV); for the blessing of sound sleep; for the beautiful light-weight sweater - a gift from D.D. #3; for the love letter from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: "Love is patient. Love shows-kindness. Love does not envy, does not brag, is not puffed-up,  does not behave-dishonorably, does not seek its own things, is not provoked, does not count the bad,  does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices-with the truth,  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things" (DLNT); for every new day of life; for this precious time with rarely seen loved ones; for the words of Jesus recorded in John 5: 24, where we read “I am telling you the truth: those who hear My words and believe in Him who sent Me have eternal life. They will not be judged, but have already passed from death to life" (GNT); thankful for a new Sabbath morning with its blessings of hope and peace; for all the beauty of Eden Valley - magnificent mountains, the songs of birds in the trees, the deer and elk that frequently amble through the campus; and thankful for the message of John 6:28,29 where we read: ". . . They said to Him, “What may we be doing in order that we may be working the works of God?”  Jesus responded and said to them, “This is the work of God: that you be believing in the One Whom that One sent-forth”(DLNT) .
