2-8 August 2015: I've been thankful during this week for being able to quickly locate urgently needed items in the welter of boxes and tubs as we unpack; for prairie sunrises; for the message of Psalm 32:10 (adapted): "Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but one who trusts in the Lord, shall be surrounded with mercy"; for the dear friends who traveled 'cross WA to help with the settling-in; for the strong backs of the fellows who came to lift much of the heavy stuff out of the truck; and for the words of Psalm 33:13-15: "The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works"; for the relief from severe knee pain with a 24-hour course of anti-inflammatory; for garrisoned angel guardians (Psalm 34:7); for adaptability when things don't go as expected/planned; for continuing help from four strong young men; for these words: ". . . the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest", Joshua 1:9, KJV; for the huge boost of help from the WA folks as they leave with our deepest gratitude - three-and-a-half days of "many hands make light work" sure has been true here! I'm thankful that another D.D. is getting settled into her apartment right downstairs; for the Spirit's work in drawing families together; for miles of safe travel over the course of our move; for an hour of conversation with one of the young fellows who has been helping us; for the reminder of Psalm 37:39,40: ". . . The salvation of the [consistently] righteous is of the Lord; He is their Refuge and secure Stronghold in the time of trouble. And the Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they trust and take refuge in Him"; for another Sabbath; for finally becoming part of our Grangeville church family instead of "the auxillary"; for this Sabbath promise: "And
therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing]
to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may
have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord
is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all
those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!" - Isaiah 30:18, AMP.
