Thanksgiving II ~

9-15 August:  This week I was thankful for a beautiful, rosy sunrise; for determination to thin out personal files; for these words from the Amplified Bible: "Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; no one can compare with You! If I should declare and speak of them, they are too many to be numbered" (Psalm 40:5); for warm oatmeal with dates and bananas shared with a D.D.; for the new "walk-through" corrals in place 'til Dandee has more respect for the carpet; for phone service; for increasing order among our furnishings; for the many evidences of our Father's loving kindness; for a ride back to Riggins for business and a visit with my dear sister; for the sociable company of furry friends; for insights gained as I read "Living by the Book", a volume on Bible study; for a day of safe travel both south and north - no flats, bumps, or dents: to be able to share gift benefits cheerfully; for victories reviewed and assured (Psalm 44:4,5); for another beautiful Sabbath morning; for Shawn Boonstra's message reminding us of the realities of Jesus' return; and for the words of Psalm 45:13,15 as a reminder of my status as a believing woman.
