Thanksgiving II ~

15-21 February:  This week I have been thankful for words of wisdom from what seem to be increasingly rare sources; for the expressions of love coming from loved ones the world around -- wouldn't it be much appreciated if we would ALL say our "I love you"s more often; and I'm thankful for the continuing prayers for my healing from the effects of this CVA; for the Valentine from my Secret Prayer Sister - it always helps to know someone is lfor traveling mercies that followed yesterday as we made our trip to Lewiston and home again - was especially thankful for a near-miss as we were on our homeward lap when an impatient driver misjudged the distance between the gap of the vehicle he was passing and our on-coming headlights; for another beautiful, sunshine filled day; the pair of "budget price" glasses that just absolutely had my name on them as the display case was opened! I've been thankful to be headed for Lewiston with an appointment a new fitting for glasses - I could see fine, but lost a lens - guess 20 years is enough wear from new? I'm thankful, too, for an outing with D.D and my sister - even sunny days cannot provide all one's social needs (LOL); for the ease of accessing information on the internet - for myself or a neighbor without that service; for a bucket of kindling scraps retrieved from the woodstack; for the recovery of my phone - several times undetected in searches of the vehicle I'd ridden in yesterday, but found with the help of a willing friend at the clinic when she rang the number while my sister was in the car; for our heavenly Father's promises - ". . . in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock" Psalm 27:5 and "The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them" Psalm 34:7; for a bright, cheery blaze in the fireplace; that the resident feline isn't complaining about her loss of the evening ration of "treats" after the lady of the house was home for a brief visit and clarified the schedule; for the gift my D.D. gave me (a smart-phone) and all the ways it can be used in making my days go smoothly ( I can't even say I've discovered them all!); for the rapid resolution to a problem for which I was praying; and for the rapid effect of the anti-gout medicine prescribed; for another celebration of Sabbath blessings available to all of God's creation - ". . . He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man. . . ." (Mark 2:27); for safe travel to McCall and back as we went shopping yesterday; and for sunshine on my shoulder as we drove along toward New Meadows.
