My Year of Thanksgiving ~

In the past week I've been thankful for eyes to see and to appreciate the beauty of our spring flowers; for a young friend's voiced interest in Bible study; to see spiritual growth in the lives of loved ones; for the kindness of a local entrepreneur when I stopped by her place for breakfast; for the little pots I found in which to pot up all the cuttings I've had in my window; for the warm sunshine that relaxed all the curls in my new hose; for each new day; for inspiration to support prayers requested with a promise written for the woman requesting the prayer; for all the joys of spring; for friendship; for enough - and to share; for the sunny glow of forsythia in so many places; for all the wonderful promises I find in the Word, what hope I find as I appropriate them for myself;  for all my sisters-in-faith; that every day I am ". . . crowned with loving-kindness and tender mercies" Psalm 103:4; for sleep and rest; for a heavenly Father who loves us so much He gave His only Son to be our Savior; for lovely, quiet Sabbath morning; for the beauty of the red dogwood tree in the neighbor's yard that is about ready to break into bloom; for the promises - so many promises - of a life with our heavenly Father after Jesus comes to wake His "sleeping" friends and take them, with all the living saints, to a  forever home with them - what a day that will be!
