My Year of Thanksgiving ~
This week I've been thankful for many miles of traveling mercies and help finding directions; for a sunshine-y, windows down afternoon drive; meeting new friends and reconnecting with a classmate from academy days; for time with Laural and her family; for miles of travel with angels attending along snowy mountain roads; for blessing upon blessing; for an early wake-up; for blue skies after crossing the divide; for oceans of purple belly-flowers along the way; for the glorious sight of glazed snowfields surrounding the frozen expanse of Strawberry Reservoir high in the Wasatch Mountains; for finding deer and antelope along the roadside; for a delightful motel staff in this lovely place (Heber City, UT); for a sunny travel day; for finding a Hyundai service center right behind their main street used-car sales lot (dash readout showed a low tire pressure); for an early bedtime and sound sleep; for beautiful trees in bloom - pear and red-bud are everywhere - lilacs soon to blossom; for Stacy's faithfulness picking up mail; for Stef's help learning more about my smart-phone;for peach blossoms in the yard next door and cherry trees blooming in my yard; for a friend's enthusiastic welcome home; for some time out-of-doors in the sun; for the weekly blessing of the Sabbath, the day God set aside after Creation to spend time together with us, a whole day to focus on relationship; for a time of fellowship planned today with family and friends; for a patch of white violets that remain - so lovely!
