My Year of Thanksgiving ~

(Since my previous post I've been traveling and unable to access this site, so this post is nearly a week late.)

In this week I have been thankful for a delightful family breakfast; hot water and lots of suds for dishes; for calm, peaceful days; for hymns of praise and psalms that focus on the many reasons for praise; for flowers, for their promise of fruit, and for the beauty of the tulips and miniature daffodils in Evie's flower-bed; for anticipation of travel delights;for traveling mercies, for being our shield and our watch-keeper as we travel; for the motel's breakfast bar; that I am still able to learn new things as I get familiar with my new phone; for sunshine-y breaks in the pretty general rain and snow; for early arrivals; for all the ways our Father cares for us as we travel, including safety in treacherous conditions (counted five tractor-trailer rigs off the road and half-an-hour or more of stalled traffic in one high Wyoming section); for the variety of beauties along the way;  for the quick response of motel staff when I asked if there was a way to refreeze our ice pack - they were at our door in a few minutes with a little refrigerator and a microwave oven (the motel was being refurbished and work was going on as guests were welcomed); for help finding our motel location from the desk of a competitor; for the beauty of the leaded-glass window wall in the College View Church, a long one with illustrations of Bible stories; for frolicking squirrels in the arboretum and at Pioneer Park; and for the beauty of that park's open spaces at the edge of the city, how fine!
