My Year of Thanksgiving ~

I've been thankful this week for waking to a beautiful snowscape with a host of juncos sprinkled into it; for each breath, each heartbeat; for generous access to the Word and a multitude of study helps in both my personal library and on-line.
. . . for sleep and rest; for my sister's thoughtfulness in re-clearing my path for kitty-care; for the beautiful example of "one-anothering" in Diane's snow removal for elderly neighbors.
. . . for waking temp above the freezing mark; for protection from harm when my foot slid on the muddy slope going down to the bridge between my yard and the neighbors'.  There's no way to regain my footing except what greatly offended my dignity, but, oh well, no other harm done; for exceeding great and precious promises.
. . . for roads to McCall yesterday that were free of ice and snow; for answered prayers re family housing in the spring; for mercy and grace in everyday life.
. . . for the blessing of my children, even to a fourth generation; for a willingness to exercise - even though I've never really enjoyed it; for all the things I still am able to do.
. . . for inspiration re how to facilitate a small group study in the one room in my home where no stairs hinder access; for this "preparation day" to prepare all that's needed for the Sabbath; for promises that God will instruct, teach, and guide.
. . . for blessings of friendship, sharing, and music - both listening and melody in my heart; for early waking and hearing the little snap my clock makes just before the alarm is triggered - so satisfying; for the response of my houseplants to more sunlight.
