My Year of Thanksgiving ~

This week I've been thankful for the pleasant Sabbath afternoon with family and friends; for time to walk without rain; for the Valentine from my "secret prayer sister".
. . . for the promise of renewed strength in Isaiah 40:31; for assurance of God's healing touch (Psalm 103:3 and 3 John 2); for clean glass sparkles in the light.
. . . for the wise counsel I find in God's Word; for blessing after blessing, every day, over-and-over again; for all the wintered over carrots I dug out yesterday - about twenty pounds of yellow carrots, white, orange, and purple carrots - crisp and beautiful carrots.
. . .  for jars of peaches on a pantry shelf; for the promise of fresh bread from the bread machine; for good books waiting to be read.
. . . for this fresh, new day; for all the beautiful promises in the Bible and the certainty that not one is a lie; and I'm thankful that my aging brain can still (tho' admittedly more slowly) capture the words of these promises and store them in memory.
. . . for the comforts of home; for the steadfast love of our heavenly Father; for anticipation of tomorrow's Women's Bible Conference at the Little Salmon River Bible Church (in Pinehurst, beginning at 0930 - bring your Bible, a notebook, pens, and a salad to share).
. . . for safe travel to McCall and home yesterday; for peaceful Sabbath beginnings at sunset Friday afternoon; for an abundance of simple pleasures.
