My Year of Thanksgiving ~

This week I've been thankful for dirty dishes - now sparkling and back in their place; for pleasant hours spent developing friendships with new neighbors; for anticipation of family time.
. . . for the blessings that inundate me daily; for the deep, abiding peace I've experienced over the past year-and-a-half; for "enough" - and more, to share; for good eyesight - I can see to read, and to enjoy the beauty that surrounds me (and the friendly smiles of those I meet!).
. . . for the new opportunities for socializing provided by the group trip to McCall yesterday; for the continuing discipline of the Fit and Fall-proof class; for ETC's service opportunities.
. . . for health and ever-increasing strength; for the blessing of friendship; and for the blessing of friends who pray for me.
. . . for years of Christian education; for the self-sacrificing spirit of my parents that made this gift to their children possible; for mercies extended to me every day of my life.
. . . for Robert's gift of two weeks of springtime in Romania; for anticipation; for faith that makes it possible to reach out to receive what has been promised.
. . . for another Sabbath; for the beauty that remains in the natural world; for the steadfast love and tender mercies that enrich my life.
