My Year of Thanksgiving ~

This week I have been thankful for days of blue skies and sunshine; for Byron's Sabbath message, "What Could Have Been"; for the warm fellowship that followed; and for traveling mercies every time.
. . . for Pastor Jim's call to live as Joseph lived - by principle - whatever the challenge; for timing my arrival at the Brimacomb's so I didn't miss connecting with them (and for the ride back to the house, so avoiding the nippy breezes); for Lucy's furry affection.
. . . for neighborly visits - I do enjoy the company; for the plan to increase activity level by setting the kitchen timer and moving every 20 - 30 minutes; for the cheerful chirping of birds in my back-yard.
. . . for the little red dot on the heater that is calling me to dig out the maintenance manual and try to diagnose the problem; for the landlord's friends who provide a back-up if my efforts are not enough; for the lack of time constraints that allow a flexible schedule (real story?  I woke up ninety minutes after I shut off the alarm  _  LOL!).
. . . for the discovery that yesterday's red light issue was only the result of an inadvertent bump of the "mode" button; for the blessing of being able to accompany a neighbor as she paid a visit to housebound family members; for a delightful call from my youngest daughter.
. . . for my dear sister living nearby; for the blessing of friendship; and for "to do" lists with every entry checked off!
. . . for Sabbath, this weekly memorial of our Creator, His awesome love and mighty power shown in bringing this planet into existence; for a new family of believers in our community - may there be great blessing for all; for Hope Sabbath School (www.hopess.org) and its lively presentations of lessons from the Scriptures.
