My Year of Thanksgiving ~

I'm thankful for this new week, for resources sufficient for travel to Boise for collecting Stacy after her Colorado vacation, for Evie's agile little Subaru and her willingness to play chauffeur.
Thankful for temps not quite so low as forecast, for the little heater that will keep waterlines in the laundry area from freezing, for recognizing some of the ways God cares for me.
I am thankful for traveling mercies on snowy roads, for many miles of dry roads, for a delightful night of sound sleep, and for the lovely assortment of fruit at the motel's Continental Breakfast.
Giving thanks, too, for the glorious sunset and safe homecoming in the dark last evening, and for persimmons that are sweet and non-pucker even when still firm.
. . . for the daily pleasure of my hot lemon-juice libation in the early morning, for the desire to grow my strength and agility through exercise, and for the promise of Jeremiah 31:3.
. . . for the steadfast love which draws me to God, for the lovely little oranges Evie brought yesterday, for the wise counsel of the Word.
. . . for Evie's visit last evening, for gentle rain, for anticipation of today's gathering with my church family in Grangeville and of the Christmas program that will be live-streamed this evening at 4 PM and 7 PM on http://www.saccentral.org/media/central-study-hour.aspx
