Thanksgiving VII ~

24-30 November:  Last week, I was thankful for almost a year of these "Thanksgiving VI" messages completed - cannot believe it's been going though the past six years of my life; thankful for another morning of walking outdoors with no white stuff on the sidewalks yet; thankful for this message from Colossians 2:6-7 where it is written: "You received Christ Jesus the Lord. So live in Him. Let your heart be planted in Him. Grow up in Him. Believe with all your heart what you were taught. And be very thankful to God." (WE); thankful for the assurances in Scripture that reveal God's immeasurable, unfailing love for you and me; thankful for the measure of faith that allows me to grasp the reality of that love for ME!  I was thankful for this instruction, written by the apostle, Paul, in Colossians 3:16-17 where we read: "... Keep on singing—sing to God from hearts full and spilling over with thankfulness. Surely, no matter what you are doing (speaking, writing, or working), do it all in the name of Jesus our Master, sending thanks through Him to God our Father." (VOICE);  thankful for the promise of Isaiah 1:18 - the smooth coat of freshly fallen snow is a very present reminder; thankful for the Son-light in my heart; thankful as I read these words from Hebrews 12:27-28 where the author says: "... This phrase 'once and for all' clearly indicates the final removal of things that are shaking, that is, the old order, so only what is unshakeable will remain. Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe." (TPT); thankful for six years of completed "Thanksgiving ...." posts (Thanksgiving VII will begin, God willing, 1 December when I return to my computer after spending the holiday with a D.S. and his wife and with friends - for which I am VERY thankful!); I was thankful for the D.D. who is providing the transport from here to D.S.'s place; thankful to repeat this timely admonition from Colossians 3:16 where it says: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." (KJV); thankful for traveling mercies as we journeyed up to the Spokane area; thankful for my dear sister's safe arrival a bit later; thankful for berries for breakfast; for an entire day of Thanksgivings; "O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation!  Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!  For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods." (AMPC)I was thankful for safe travel along a new route home via St. Marie's, through blowing snow skittering across the road from north of Boville almost to Orofino; thankful for time to purchase necessities and check into our motel before Sabbath; "... 'Because the Lord has appointed tomorrow as a day of seriousness and rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord when we must refrain from doing our daily tasks. So cook as much as you want to today, and keep what is left for tomorrow.'” (Exodus 16:23; TLB). I was thankful to meet friends at Sabbath services in Orofino, some I'd NOT expected to find there; thankful for the delicious lunch with other dear friends; "Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family." (Proverbs 18:24; MSG).
