My Year of Thanksgiving ~

28 September-4 October ~  There has been much this week for which to be thankful  -  for the rest and restoration that comes with sleep; for the vacant spaces now appearing as items are relocated; for a young friend who is willing to work for payment "in kind" reaching places my old knees won't let me reach; for each completed step in this moving process - empty cabinets and closets, pieces of furniture in their new location mean it is really happening; thankful too for all the help my family has provided;  for the conviction that wherever I am, there is not a thing that can separate me from the loving care of my heavenly Father; for each new day and the measure of grace that comes with it; for resources to cover the needs of the day; for an (almost) empty house; for the physical strength provided to make this transition; for safe travels to McCall and back; for all the beauty of the natural world in autumn; for one empty house and a room where everything I need or that brings pleasure is finding its place; for S-I-L's uncomplaining help in taking the last loads to the new address; for rest that readied me for this day's efforts; that the moving out process is completed and the moving in is coming along surely - a box at a time; for Sabbath rest and for one tidy nook where my eyes can rest, undisturbed by the present chaos (if ever you have moved, I think you may know just what I mean); for the wonderful peace that I've been given.

, , , and so thankful to be back on line!
