My Year of Thanksgiving ~

24 - 30 August 2014:  This week has been filled with thanks for sleep and rest; for Hope Sabbath School's lively and interactive study of Christ and His Church (free, and available at viewers' convenience from their website - www.hopess.hopetv.org); for a glimpse of a possible homesite in this area - we're  praying to be just where our Father wants us; thankful for the privilege of prayer, for confidence that my petitions are heard - and answered for my best good, and for His glory; for sunlight creeping down the hillsides as this new day begins; for limbs that respond appropriately to my needs; for a new day of life and the measure of health I enjoy; for help with yesterdays heavy tasks; for the privilege of making a small gift to this community by donating time at ETC. in support of the After School Kids program; for the fact that it is possible to survive even when sleep is found only in pieces! - for goods accumulated over the years that will bring dollars to support various helping projects as they are released; for the beauty all around me - in color, texture, and form; for new mornings, fresh from our Father's hand, and for the multitude of new mercies that come with each day; for my sister's little red chariot which just keeps on faithfully running us on assorted errands and recreational adventures; for all the ways I have been blessed over my lifetime - and especially these last two years - God is good!  Thankful for traveling mercies as we went to McCall for appointments and business; for all the lovely things we saw in Ponderosa State Park as we took the road out to the far end of the drive; for winds that have blown gently, leaving the poster-board signs intact  where I'd placed them; for time to prepare produce in the fridge for Sabbath use, and for room in my sister's fridge to hold the last dish!
