Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me. You will stretch out Your hand. . . and Your right hand will save me. NKJV
I found this affirmation of God's care as I was searching the word revive this morning. Trouble? Yes, I've seen some - much of it consequences of my own unwise choices - but You have saved me. Though I have fallen, I have not been utterly cast down, for You uphold me with Your hand. Psalm 37:24, my paraphrase.
What a precious thought! Father, Brother, ever-present Comforter, taking me by the hand to keep me from making a complete ruin of my life when I stumble into foolishness. I may be dented and bruised, I may feel like "damaged goods" - but You value me enough to keep me in Your hand. You pick me up, dust me off, and guide me back into Your paths.
Thank You for the solid assurance i have of Your love for me, Your plans for my good. Renew my heart, revive in it a response that brings heart obedience to all the principles of Your kingdom, a passion for seeking out those who want to know You more deeply. Then may the words that I write, the words that I speak be as leaves from the Tree of Life - that all who read, all who hear may find healing.
