A New Beginning

Happy New Year to one and all!  At the start of 2011, what hopes and dreams do you have for the new year? Have you set any new goals? Are you planning to be more diligent about reading your Bible ? Do you want to be more assertive in witnessing to others? Are you seeking new employment, or a changing location? Are you hoping for a turn around in in your life's circumstances?

The preceeding came from an Adventist Review post on my facebook page this morning, definitely food for thought.  I've long since given up on resolutions for the new year.  In the words of a favorite author, my resolutions are like ropes of sand!  But it is my desire that this year I will grow to be more and more like Jesus.  I long to become a fervent and effective  pray-er.  My focus today in on the process rather than the accomplishment, and it is with a deep sense of gratitude that I anticipate God's work in my life through the next 365 days.

I'd love to see your thoughts for this new year - send to cjnward@yahoo.com

Philippians 1:6   I am confident that He who has begun a good work in you will continue that work until the day of Jesus Christ.
