Evening Praise

 Creator God, I praise You!  You're the fullness of all I long to be.  Perfect in love and compassion, in longsuffering and tender mercies, Your existance is the spring from which all life flows.  Your great love is unparalleled.  You longed for another creation upon which to lavish that love and our earth came into existance.  What a disappointment it must have been when those You had created rejected Your sovereignty and went over to the rebel's forces.  Yet Your love did not fail.  A life, an everexisting life was provided to redeem what the enemy held captive.  What a great God you are!  Above all finite intellect - impossible for me to comprehend - yet it is my heart's desire to be like You.  Weak, unworthy - I come for Your healing cleansing ministry in my life.

 

    Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;

    I want Thee forever to live in my soul;

    Break down every idol, cast out every foe;

    Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

You promised, "One who comes to Me I will under no circumstances reject" (John 6:37).  I praise You, O God!  My soul longs to reflect Your glory, to live this day in such a way that I may be recognised as Your daughter ~

 

Philippians 1:6   I am confident that He who has begun a good work in you will continue that work until the day of Jesus Christ.
