27 March-2 April: During this past week, I was thankful for the warmth of sunlight thru' my window; thankful for the little re-chargeable hearing amplifiers on my desk, ready to plug in; thankful as I consider this thought from Psalm 62:7-8 where it is written: "My help and glory are in God—granite-strength and safe-harbor-God—So trust Him absolutely, people; lay your lives on the line for Him. God is a safe place to be." (Message); thankful for the way God's Word, the Holy Bible, is a safe guide for life - following its leading we have safe paths in which to walk; thankful to know we were created for His purposes - He has a plan for my life, and yours!" (Jeremiah 29:11); thankful as I consider these words from Psalm 139:13-15 where we read: "... You shaped me, inside and out. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb long before I took my first breath. I will offer You my grateful heart, for I am Your unique creation, filled with wonder and awe. You have approached even the smallest details with excellence; Your works are wonderful; I carry this knowledge deep within my soul. You see all things; nothing about me was hidden from You ...." (VOICE); thankfully anticipating the delivery of new laundry equipment to replace the ailing and aging machines across the hall from my room; thankful for the warming weather and sunshine in today's forecast; thankful as I peruse this statement from 2 Corinthians 5:20 where it is written: "He made the One not having known sin to be sin for us, in order that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (Disciples Literal New Testament); thankful for my smart phone and access to family and friends near and far away; thankful for freshly laundered garments now stowed in drawers and closet - great having the new laundry equipment installed! I was thankful as I read this from 1 Corinthians 10:11-13 where it is written: "... Things happened for a reason: to sound a warning. They were written down and passed down to us to teach us. They were meant especially for us because the beginning of the end is happening in our time. So let even the most confident believers remember their examples and be very careful not to fall as some of them did. Any temptation you face will be nothing new. But God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can handle. But He always provides a way of escape so that you will be able to endure and keep moving forward." (VOICE); thankful for my fb family, all who read and respond to these posts; thankful for your patience when my days don't go as planned and the post is done late! I was thankful for this admonition from Psalm 127:2 where it is written: "It is pointless to get up early, work hard, and go to bed late, anxiously laboring for food to eat; for God provides for those He loves, even while they are sleeping." (VOICE); thankful for "enough" - enough time, enough resources for my needs, enough rest (even when actual sleep is deficient!), enough of ALL I need (Proverbs 30:9); thankful for another "Preparation Day" to finish what needs to be done before the Sabbath rest; thankful for this cautionary note from Psalm 14:1-2 where it is written: "Fools say in their hearts, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is no one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on humankind to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God." (New Revised Standard Version); thankful for another Sabbath and the mental and physical rest the Creator has provided for all who will accept it; thankful for access, on-line, to worship and praise at my "home" church and via Hope TV, 3ABN, and other sites; and I was thankful for the blessing from Isaiah 56:2 where it is written: "God’s favor rests on those who attend to justice, who devote themselves to doing what is right, who keep the Sabbath and don’t disregard or belittle it, who keep from doing what is wrong: destructive, deceitful, or violent." (VOICE).
