29 August-4 September: During the past week, I have been thankful for sunlight, blue skies, and mild temperatures that start the day; thankful to know our heavenly Father has good plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11); thankful as I considered these words from Galatians 3:28-29 where we read: "Faith immersed you into Christ, and now you are covered and clothed with His life. And we no longer see each other in our former state—Jew or non-Jew, rich or poor, male or female—because we’re all one through our union with Jesus Christ." (TPT); thankful for the overnight visit with a dear son - catching up re the events in his life; thankful for the increased strength he's showing after being so ill; thankful for this promise found in Jeremiah 33:6 where it is written: “Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security." (NIV); thankful for the blessed hope Jesus gave us with His promise, "I will come again ...."; thankful for the ease of re connection via the internet with folks I'd lost touch with over the years; thankful for this invitation from Psalm 95:6-7 where it is written: "Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. ...." (NASB); thankful to be sure of angels who are "riding along" with loved ones who are traveling; thankful for all the "helpers" who lend a hand to me in various ways; thankful for the promise given to God's people in Deuteronomy 28:1,6 where it is written: "Now if you really obey the Lord your God’s voice, by carefully keeping all His commandments .... You will be blessed when you are out and about and blessed when you come back." (CEB); thankful for the beautiful, tasty peaches D.D. brought home for us; thankful for freezers and canners that will process the abundance for later use; thankful as I consider this affirmation from Lamentations 3:21-22 where it is written: "This I recall to my mind; therefore I have hope. It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because His compassion doesn’t fail." (WEB);
