Thanksgiving VIII ~

31 December-2 January:  During this time, I was thankful to be back on line with a new computer - a gift from the other ladies in this house; thankful for traveling mercies as we drove north to Coeur d'Alene and back - highway much better coming back than driving up; thankful for this truth we find in 2 Corinthians 5:16-18 where we read: " ... From now on we don’t look at anyone the way the world does. At one time we looked at Christ in that way. But we don’t anymore. When anyone lives in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone! The new is here! All this is from God. He brought us back to himself through Christ’s death on the cross. And he has given us the task of bringing others back to him through Christ." (NIRV); thankful to wake to a clear New Year's Day with a determination to seek three things: a closer walk with my Savior; a daily search for ways to bring blessing for those around me; and to be able to find my "place" in working for the Master; thankful for this reminder re faith: "Faith isn’t about a particular outcome; rather, it’s about full confidence in [the] One who already knows the outcome."; thankful for fresh beginnings as found in 2 Corinthians 5:17 where we read: "So then, if anyone is in Christ, that person is part of the new creation. The old things have gone away, and look, new things have arrived!" (CEB); thankful to know the blessing of the weekly Sabbath - a gift to us from our Creator (Genesis 2:2-3); thankful for all the sacred messages provided on HopeTV and 3ABN during the Sabbath hours; and I was thankful for this prayer from Psalm 90:12 where we read: "Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction." (TPT).
