Thanksgiving II ~
24-30 May: This week I have been thankful for for internet realtors that make house-hunting at a distance much easier
(and less expensive!); for beautiful homes available throughout the
area; and for eldest daughter showing willingness to relocate with us -
seems that "the cloud" may be gathering and moving on (Exodus 40:36;
Numbers 9:17); for each new day and the blessings that will come with it; for family
and friends (including those reading here) who are such a source of
strength and comfort to me; for a heavenly Father who adopts us
believers into His own family (John 1:12); for another day planned at ETC. after missing last week -
what fun to find blessing in BEING a blessing! I am thankful for the
pot of oats that's waiting for my breakfast (and to be reheated for more
breakfasts this week); for food to eat when I'm hungry and to share
with others who, too, are hungry; that our Dandee didn't get smashed, only bumped, when he
dashed out into the street - Curt has taken him to the vet to be checked
for injuries; thankful to have veterinary service available; for the
watchful care our Father provides for us and our four-footeds (Psalm
36:6); that the dear little dog is stiff and sore, but seems to be otherwise
undamaged; for the lovely rain showers in the afternoon - everything
is so fresh and green; for the lessons the ants are teaching as they try
to set up house-keeping in my space - little, tiny fellows who are
industrious and persistent and non-aggresive; for the rescue and re-homing services at McPaws where my sis took a
stray kitten this week; for the beautiful weather we enjoyed as we made
the trip and returned; and for Dandee's gradual improvement in strength
after his close-call; for this new Sabbath morning, to be celebrating with our Maker the gifts
He has provided for all His creatures; that the ants that were
everywhere in my office area have apparently relocated - much wisdom
they have when their colony is endangered; for the choices available to
me in so many areas of life - may my choices be pleasing to the Father
of us all.
