3-9 May 2015: I have been thankful for the anticipation of a family breakfast - it's a regular event to
which we all look forward each month; for the "homecoming" message the
pastor gave yesterday - that day is coming soon when our Savior will
return to raise our sleeping sisters and brothers to new life and take
them, with the living saints (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17), to the place
He's prepared for us (John 14:2,3) - what a day that will be! Thankful
to be alive on this glorious morning with prayers for blessings on all
in my life; to send a "Happy Birthday!" message to a great-grandson I've never met -
hope you have a wonderful day, little man! I am thankful for a rodeo
weekend without serious injury for the participants - always a concern;
and thankful to be "a child of the King" - what a privilege to be called
a child of God (John 1:12; 1 John 3:1); for air - fresh, clean air all around me - and the ability to take in
deep breaths of that air without any obstructions; for the birds that
gather in the trees around our place to feed, to socialize; for the
privilege of watching children grow up into delightful and productive
individuals moving toward adulthood - it's not easy for them (or their
parents!) but what a pleasure; for the privilege of playing catch-up after a sleepless beginning at my
usual bedtime - what a great feeling to shut off the alarm! Thankful
for the images available on my computer and the folks who've captured
the "just right" moment; and thankful to be me, a very well blessed
woman today; for the assurance that our Father is a faithful promise-keeper - as
Joshua told the people at his life's end, ". . . not one thing has
failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning
you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed"
Joshua 23:14. He's still the same, His promises are sure. The answers
are not promised in MY time, but His - I may feel His response is
delayed, but ". . . the vision is yet for an appointed time;
. . .
at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait
for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry" Habakkuk 2:3.
He knows what's ahead and when it will be most needed. We can trust
Him, for not one word of those promises will fail; for another beautiful, sunlit Sabbath morning and the availability of
Sabbath School and worship services on the web; for the ministries of
Hope Channel, 3ABN, and others who provide this service at no cost to
the viewer; and for all the faithful donors who give regularly and
generously so that these programs can continue!
