Thanksgiving II ~

11-17 January: This week I've been thankful for Sabbath celebration with family and friends; for Bible translators - reading from the Amplified Bible and found clarification in it's rendering of Galatians 6:2 thusly: "Bear (endure, carry) one another’s burdens and [a]troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete [b]what is lacking [in your obedience to it]" - burden bearing 101; for David Asscherick's presentation of Jesus as the living fulfillment of the 70-week prophecy in Daniel 9:20-27 with an explanation of the Hebrew poetry a-b-a-b-a-b form used in the passage that explains the message more clearly; for the Holy Spirit - Jesus' gift to believers, the Helper, and for His work in our lives; for an afternoon visit from a neighbor who needed cheering; for new recordings from the Voice of Prophecy's Reunion series in my mailbox; for a new day of life, and the health and strength that remain; for safe journeying through rain, fog, and snow as we drove to and from Grangeville yesterday; for smiles while looking at photos a friend had posted of her children (and her) playing together in the rain - their joyful smiles creating sunlight in the hearts of many with whom the photos were shared; for the lovely drive upriver and the glorious sight of sunlight streaming through the Lake Creek canyon into the dark Salmon River course; for hearty giggles watching a cat video - what delight in the ways of four-footeds!  I'm thankful for the beauty still apparent in the Creator's work; for the steadfast love that reaches out to embrace us all - even the most UNloveable; for the grace that is poured out for us through Jesus; to have found lemons - an every morning staple when available for less than the $1 each price on my previous shopping expedition - for 69 cents; to have found all the items on my list (and to have left all "indulgences" on the shelves); for a preparation day with lists completed before the Sabbath hours began at sunset.
