My Year of Thanksgiving ~
15 - 21 June 2014 I've been thankful this week for much needed new tee-shirts that came in the mail; for videoed mission stories from Maranatha; for a young friend who will help as I collect and sort during the next several weeks; for the restoration that comes with sleep and rest; for a grateful heart and a peaceful mind; for all the blessings - both of the spirit and material blessings provided in abundance; for rain that comes to water growing things in the yard outside my windows; for cherries from the tree my landlord transplanted from the Slate Creek property its lineage is not known. There's a Lambert cherry tree on the property along with many that have just multiplied along the creek from trees in old orchards nearby, so probably a naturalized hybrid - but the cherries are delicious; for the lovely growing things my sis is cultivating in my yard; for bright, clear mornings, for my landlord's help in clearing out the stack of surplus from the edge of the yard; for the freshly mown lawn and the carefully manicured flower-beds - order is soothing, and beautiful; for the glorious beginning to this Sabbath morning; for the invitations to pray and assurances that our Father hears and answers our prayers; and so much more!
