My Year of Thanksgiving ~

18 May - 24 May  ~ I've been thankful for an early morning wake-up - much catching up to do; for spring showers to moisten flower-beds and wash the air; for the blessings of the Bible study at http://hopess.hopetv.org/; for the delight of the annual ladies luncheon at G'ville SDA Church; for the view of sunlit hills and valleys as we topped Whitebird Summit on our way home; for celebrating a 75th anniversary of my entrance into my Father's beautiful world; for the beginning day of a new year of life; for the love of family and friends; for seeds in the garden and all the beautiful flowers placed artistically around this abode by my dear sister; for all the "exceeding great and precious promises" (2 Peter 1:4) found in God's Word; for media-ministries like Hope Channel and Amazing Facts I can access online to learn more truths direct from that treasure-house; for glorious, sunshiny mornings; for bright sunlight filtering through fresh new foliage; for more seeds to plant - and plants to pot - for beauty all around; for hearing of my landlord's kindness, his willingness to revise the rent rate for my sis if she should want to stay here when/if I relocate; for the little gift of kale plants from another gardener's over-planted supply; for shelter from the rain (and for shade from the heat of the afternoon); for the invitation to cast all my cares onto the One who cares for me; for all the blessings of the week that is past; for the peace that the Sabbath brings; for enough - and some to share.
