My Year of Thanksgiving ~

I'm so thankful for new beginnings, new day, new week, and soon, a new year.  While I've no guarantee re "length of days", I'm thankful for fresh starts! Thankful too as I consider the mission and outreach work of La Vida for the Navajo people in NW New Mexico - a spot dear to my heart.  A big thank-you to Idaho Power folk willing to brave the cold and darkness to repair whatever it was that caused the power outage last evening.
. . . for strength to walk to Stef's new domicile, for dry sidewalks, and for Jim T.'s kind description of me as "a godly woman"  -  all praise to the One who shines through this mortal clay!
. . . for delightful fellowship with friends from far (Melinda and Paul) and near (Pauline), for the push to share - a dessert, a cup of herb tea, time and effort, strength to walk home from the store without resting.
. . . for authors like Dorothy Eaton Watts who've shared prayer experiences that inspire my thoughts, for 2Chronicles 7:14 and Isaiah 65:24, this assurance God hears and answers our prayers, for being able to relish a simple breakfast that promotes health (other meals a challenge - too many choices?).
. . . for the  little journey with Agnes yesterday, for the sunshine that brightened much of the day, for the energy apparent as my amaryllis begins to bloom.
. . . for peaceful, quiet mornings, for the hum of mechanical servants as they do the laundry and make bread, for the thrill of anticipation.
. . . for traveling mercies, for highways free of snow and ice, for the beauty of the snow-covered expanses that call to mind the promise in Isaiah 1:18.
