Morning Thoughts

Reviewing an old journal entry ~

A beautiful, bright blue day - sunny, but with a breeze making a ballet in the tree boughs.  The lawn is dripping diamonds, sparkling in the light.  The fresh greenness is livened by the splash of color in the daylillies just under my window.  How lovely!  God's hand is evident!

O Father!  I want a life that reveals Your touch, a life that consistantly reflects Your love and grace to all in my circle of influence.  Teach me, empower me for true obedience that Your righteousness be praised, that You be glorified and honored.

Thank You!  Thank You for Your bountiful provision for our needs - and so much more!  You fill my world with beauty and have given me senses to appreciate Your gifts.  You reveal Yourself in Your Word, in the wonders of Creation - and through Your many providences.  Thank You for all the assurances of love I read in Scripture.  Thank You for continuing Your "good work" and for the promise of its completion.

Philippians 1:6   I am confident that He who has begun a good work in you will continue that work until the day of Jesus Christ.
