"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!" (New American Standard Bible)
More on God's gifts to us. Some find it hard to believe that God really cares for us, His children, individually. Over and over the Scriptures describe us as God's children. He takes joy in us as we learn to trust Him, rely on Him, seek His counsel. He says,". . . I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, . . . thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome" (Jeremiah 29:11, AMP).
Note, God does not promise a life free from pain and hardship; but following His counsel as found in Scripture gives us hope for our final outcome. He provided an incomparable gift when He gave Jesus as our Savior, our Redeemer (John 3:16, ch.4:10). And with that gift comes another - the gift of a forever life, eternity with Him in His glorious kingdom. The Bible tells about it in these words: ". . . The wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord " (Romans 6:23, AMP).
"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" (II Corinthians 9:15, NKJV).
